After obtaining my Master’s degree in Chemistry, I performed a PhD in molecular virology under the direction of Dr. Andrea Gamarnik at the Instituto Leloir in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My thesis was focused on studying the molecular mechanism underlying dengue virus uncoating and encapsidation. During this time I was also able to work with the Zika virus following the epidemic in South America in 2015- 2016.
I joined Nacho Bravo’s team in Nov 2018. During my post-doc I study the impact of codon usage on the virus-cell interplay in the frame of the CODOVIREVOL project.
